Casual Monday

Left to Right: Backpack: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sunnies: Thom Browne, Hoodie: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lace Ups: Carven, Skinnies: Nudie Denim, Polo: Saint Laurent.

Lots of new spring/summer pieces are popping around online and in stores, so I decided to put together a casual look with items available now online at SSENSE. This is a look that is super nonchalant and effortless, but at the same time is very stylish. For example the Carven shoes give the look a little bit of flare to the basic and classic look to the rest of the ensemble. Hopefully soon I will own a couple of these items. Happy Presidents Day!

Ralph Lauren Fall '13

I usually don't post just on womenswear, but I make an exception for my favorite designer, Ralph Lauren. This fall '13 collection was amazing. He killed it at the end with all his formalwear. The black dress with the chains hanging of the shoulder is both sexy and sophisticated. Ralph knows how to make sexy, classy and leave mystery to the eye. Also his outerwear is great too. I don't know what I love more, the shearling jackets or the military inspired, slimly tailored coats and blazers. Ralph never disappoints and his show always closes off the end of fashion week perfectly. Enjoy!

Looks of the Day at NYFW F/W13

Mark McNairy

 Reed Krakoff

Rodarte

Mark McNairy: The blend of street style with formal wear is genius. Plus who wouldn't like the leather pants and varsity jacket combo?

Reed Krakoff: His ability to incorporate elegance and class with edge is beautiful. The croc embossed sweatshirt is fun for a night out or brunch with your best friends.

Rodarte: I mean......come on its Rodarte. Edgy is what they are all about and they accomplish it every single season. I feel like Azealia Banks might be sporting that turtleneck bodysuit in the near future.

Junya Watanabe

The Fall 13 collection presented by Junya Watanabe was just amazing. He makes fashion so much fun and gives his whole collection so much personality. For example, the way he incorporates random patchwork to his formal wear is just genius. It is almost childish but, it seems to work. Most would say "A child could of done that. Adding patches is easy". I for one use to say that but, now I love every piece he releases. I cant wait to get my hands on one of those coats this fall. Enjoy the show!

Ps: The music is so playful, just like his collection.

Lui y Emi

Step aside Jonas Brothers because Lui y Emi are coming through. These guys are the coolest up and coming artists I've ever meet. These brothers are rad from their unique sound to their cool, artsy, individualist personalities. They just recently got signed with a record label and all I see is things going up for these guys with endless possibilities. I wouldn't be shocked to see them at award shows or being mobbed down by middle school girls in the near future. What is also great about them is that they write their own material. Most artists (I am using that word leniently) tend to only be able to sing, but it takes far more talent to write music, not just perform it. I cant wait for these guys to release their first single and I will post it here as soon as its released.

PS: Not only can they sing but they have some pretty mad steeze too!
