Joshin Around at CVS

Sometimes the places we go to the most for connivence can be the best places to shoot. Me and my friend Taylor had a blast joking around taking shots in CVS. Enjoy our fun pictures.

Holidays Taking Over

The Holidays are taking over. I haven't posted my work in a while so I thought this sequence would be perfect for the time. The holidays are taking over in the wrong way. We worry too much about getting gifts and the material looks of the holidays and not the meaning behind them. This sequence is commenting on how we need to break away from all these unimportant holiday details and focus on the meanings of the seasons like spending time with the family, even if you have those crazy parents, remember you only have one mom and dad so cherish them instead of being embarrassed by them. Gifts are always great don't get me wrong but don't let that be the focus this holiday. Seasons greetings everyone!

Holiday Shopping Around the City

Barneys Electric Holiday Goodies

This is my first holiday in New York and shopping for the holidays cant get anymore difficult. With stores on every corner to over 130 sample sales with in the past 30 days! But the best places this year to get some great gifts for your friends and family are at some of the typical retailers. Barneys unleashed their "Electric Holiday" theme this year and its pretty dope. I for one love disney to death and so do my sisters so I will be stopping by to get an iPhone case or two for a stocking stuffer. Plus multiple designers created special clothing items for gifts as well (for the ones you want to spend over $200 on). For a more affordable holiday or to get cheap gifts check out Targets new collaboration with Neiman Marcus. Target teamed up with the high end retailer to create a line of over 50 items for the holidays. Items are all designed by designers from DVF to Rodarte to guys favorite suit line Thom Browne. The prices are all under $150 (unless you get the Alice and Olivia bike)! Even the iconic shall cardigan from Rag & Bone. Lastly if your in the mood to shop for that special someone and by that I mean yourself, check out Saks and again, Barneys. They are offering up to 40% off on designer clothes and accessories so get them before they're gone! Have a great holiday!

RUMORS!

Rumor has it that my favorite designer brand, Givenchy, is doing the next H&M collaboration. I loved the MMM collection that was released about 3 weeks ago, but this is mind blowing. So far it has not been 100% confirmed but if its true, I will again be first in line for this one. Also it would take about 9 months for it to come out so I just have to be super patient. If theres any more info on the next colab don't hesitate to leave me a comment!

Neiman Marcus + Target = Amazing

Band of Outsiders Cookie Cutters

Rag & Bone Sweater

Thom Browne Blazer

Band of Outsiders beanies: A special Friend might get one for the holidays!

So my great friends from Wreak Havoc NY wanted me to go with them to the special preview launch of the Neiman Marcus & Target pop-up shop on thursday. But I have been sick with the flu :( , so I decided to be a savvy online shopper and wait until they released the items online. I was being a little bit of a spend thrift by comparing my total, with shipping and tax, on both sites and I found out that if i shopped on target.com, I would save over $20. Yah call me cheap, but now a days, $20 goes a longgggg way. I love the four items I got, especially the blazer. I feel like I own a bunch of Thom Browne items from ties to shirts, to even cardigans, but now, I have a signature blazer by him. I also love the Band of Outsiders cookie cutters. They will go great with my new apartment Im getting this month and will be great for making my mama some fashionable, holiday cookies. Hope everyone gets what they want from the collection, I sure did.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

MMM X H&M Purchases Part II

These are the rest of the amazing items I got at the MMM X H&M collaboration last week. I love the pants most because of the multiple patterns incorporated. They are edgy and statement pieces but can also be toned down as well. Had a great time with my wolf pack aka Claire and Claudia from Wreak Havoc NY. Cant wait till the Rag and Bone event with my amazing friends!!

P.S. Sorry the pictures are smaller I wanted the quality to be better. :)

Hey everyone. So these are a couple of the items I got at the MMM X H&M collaboration last week. Im still searching online to see if I can find pictures of the other items. I really wanted to show you guys so thats why I posted the ones I could find. I would take the pictures myself but the lighting in my apartment sucks. Maison Martin Margiela X H&M

The small line compared to other locations.

GO H&M AND MARGIELA!!!

Me Freezing my ass off, but hey, I was first in line

The free H&M for Margiela bags only for Columbus Circle shoppers.

The Margiela event was amazing. First off I was the first one in line. It helps if you get there at 2am. I had to be somewhere at 8:30, 30 minutes after the event began so I had to be in and out super quick. I got some great pieces which Ill post in another entry with my sample sale threads. It was also so much fun because my friends from Wreak Havoc Ny, Claire and Claudia. We had fun documenting the event and getting into minor fights with two line cutters who claimed they were there the night before, in the building which would be a lie because security wouldn't let anyone inside until 7am. All in all the event was great and so happy I went at 2am to be the first in line. Cant wait for the next collaboration. To see more pics and more dirt on the event check Wreak Havoc Ny.

Alexander Wang Sample Sale Crazies

Okay so I got to the Alexander Sample sale at 4am and there was a line of 8 people or so ahead of me, some that even got there at 10:30pm the day before! But there was one crazy who was by my side the whole time/wouldn't leave me alone, Brenda Bag lover, Joanne or how ever you spell it. She was sick and was standing in the 30degree weather the whole time and we (the friends/normal people I made friends with) thought she was going to get pneumonia or hypothermia. All in all it was a great morning I helped a girl find her phone, made new sample sale friends, yelled at cutters, and even made it on to a cool sample sale blog Wreak Havoc Ny. The videos and pictures posted are from their site so check them out they are super cool.

Shepard Fairey

(Sunnies: Chronicles of Never, Cardigan: Rag & Bone, Boots: Maison Martin Margiela

This look has fall written all over the place. My friend took this with her film camera which is why it is in black and white but I think it gives the picture more personality. The boots are probs my fave part of the outfit. They are a carmel colored suede which looks great tucked into jeans and topping it off with a long, comfy cardigan. So happy its sweater weather!! Happy Fall.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Darkness & Studs

(Knit Hat: American Apparel, Jumper: Ragged Priest, Jeans: Bensimon, Limited Edition Doc's: Dr. Martens

I LOVE SWEATER SEASON!!!! This reconstructed vintage jumper by Ragged Priest is just awesome. The leather and studded patches gives it that fun flare. I used it as my statement piece of this outfit and kept the rest pretty simple to concentrate the attention on the jumper. This outfit is just the perfect thing to get into when I go out early for a cup of tea or just a fun dark stroll in the park.

October

(Sweater: Rag & Bone, Tee: RRL, Jeans: Bensimon, Doc's: Dr. Martens

Fall has for sure arrived here in the Big Apple. You can tell by the breeze and the fall of the leaves (as you can see in the picture tons of leaves). And when fall comes around that means I can pull out my wool sweaters! Here im wearing my favorite Rag & Bone long wool cardigan. I love the deep purplish wine color on honestly anything. Its so comfy yet chic (and that never happens). Its fun to rock with some skinnies and a long sleeve tee. Enjoy fall!

Jimbo

Although this video has nothing to do with fashion, it is super inspirational. I am a huge tennis junkie. I play at least 3 days a week. Without tennis, fashion and school would take over my life completely. For me its not just a sport, its a form of therapy where I can leave all my problems at the bench and escape reality when I am on the court. In the video (I should get to that) is of Jimmy Connors at age 40 playing at the US Open. He says its his best memory of his tennis career. This point always gives me the chills. The dedication he has in this point is phenomenal and his "come on" at the end is pretty rad. And you know what this does relate to fashion short-er shorts on men are in at the moment (that is if your in California or where its warm).

White

( Top Pair: A.P.C. at Barneys, Bottom Pair: Levis Made & Crafted at Barneys)

This season its all about going against the typical rules of fashion and being rebellious! Usually fall makes us wear darker colors and neutrals but all I am seeing this season is jewel tones, muted neons, and whites. I think its a good idea to rock a pair of white denim in the fall. Throw on a cool navy blue trench or even a deep wine colored sweater. Don't be scared to go against the grain this season, thats what fashion is all about!

Casual Friday

(Vintage tee & hat: James Grant, Denim Shirt: WGACA, Kicks: Nike)

My friend and I decided to be well, brats in CVS tonight. Running around and taking funny pictures and some more fashionable ones. This outfit is so fun and easy. I personally love rocking a canadian tux. Here I decided to do dark on light denim. The contrasts from dark to light are really fun and funky. Plus the vintage Israeli Disney shirt makes it even more exciting. And to top it off, some bright ass nike kicks. Love the cobalt blue and its a great color for fall winter this season!
